city center respectful staff fresh pastries
The location offered easy access to the city center. I found the staff courteous. They handled my baggage on arrival and departure. Breakfast was delivered directly to my room each morning. The pastries tasted fresh.

original character helpful staff central location
i found the location superb, especially for accessing the west end. the staff were generally helpful, though room service ended early. the building retains a lot of its original character, offering A unique experience.
noise from the hallway was quite disruptive, every door slam vibrated in my room. also, the toilet setup was antique, a bit awkward.

suite beauty quiet environment nice library
The junior suite REALLY impressed me with its beauty. The quietness inside contrasted sharply with the chaotic surroundings outside, a HUGE plus. I found both the library and the work room to be quite nice.
The stairs felt a LITTLE precarious, mainly because the building is old.

quiet hotel superb decor delicious breakfast warmed milk
The hotel is quiet when you step inside (it's a real oasis). the decor creates a superb atmosphere. breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed bagels and coffee. the milk was warmed. This.
the room lacked modern amenities, especially considering the price, and i missed having readily available bottled water as a courtesy.

the room felt spacious enough for two people. the bathroom included a heated towel rail. i found this feature convenient. it helped with drying towels quickly, after a refreshing shower.
